It's been a month since I've heard from those two crackpots, Natalie Porter and Henrietta Pinnafore III. I suspect they are either lost in the artic wilderness or too drunk to remember they were supposed to be submitting stories to my paper. I'll fire them if they ever turn up. Unless, of course, they deliver the story they promised me. Should that happen, we'll post the entire thing in one go - no more columns for those two unreliable hacks. I expect that will be sometime this summer.

These reports are taking longer to get out than anticipated. While we were prepared for the bitter cold of the North Pole, we didn't anticipate the situation with the artic terns. To make a long story short, they find Natalie's pencils quite tasty. We've taken appropriate counter measures and believe we have solved the problem.

Incidentally, terns taste like chicken.

It's difficult to keep up with Santa Claus. He has all the best toys. We're working on convincing the newspaper to increase our budget so we can afford toys too. Thus far, my editor remains unconvinced. Fortunately, Natalie is quite resourceful and found us an airship pilot who swears he can keep up with our target. Time will tell.

We apologize for the delay in our report. The Pirate Captain, Ginger Llamamoto, cut the telegraph lines and we had to ride hard to beat him to the next town so we could file our report. I cannot WAIT until Buffalo Man puts that evil pirate in his place. Humph. Anyway, The line art on these pages is much better since I could take more time drawing it. Those action scenes challenge even my quick draw abilities. The exciting thing about these pages is that they PROVE the complex web of disguises Santa Claus uses to conceal his activities.

Henrietta Pinnafore III here. Natalie Porter and I made the most amazing discovery while tracking Mr. Claus during his off-duty hours. Fortunately, Ms. Porter was able to capture all the action with her lightning fast sketching skills. Here are the first five pages of this expose. Mr. Claus doesn't sit still for long though. We're off again to continue tracking him. We will submit a new report as soon as we are able to find a telegraph station.

Have you ever wondered exactly what it was that Santa did the other 364 days of the year? So did Henrietta Pinnafore III and Natalie Porter. They set out to discover the secrets of the Northpole. They've decided to share their findings with us so watch for installments of their field reports over the coming weeks. We think you'll be surprised. I know we here at Mystic Sheep Studios were.
